Mitigated for the mentioned reasons.

"Nice hotel and room but icy unsmiling front desk and very insufficient double glazing of our junior suite (104) due to incredibly noisy music outside until very late at night."

"Great hotel, with a little too much Cuban attitude--too much mañana, not enough right away, sir."

generally good. Quality of bread offered in the buffet restaurant was poor.

"One or two of the bar staff were a bit arrogant. This aloofness applied to the more senior members who should have set a better ,Friendlier example. Junior staff were willing and friendly withour being familiar."

Average. We feel we should receive compensation, not voucher, due to overchargeing.

"We stayed in two Iberostar hotels. The Havana experience was adequate. The bed in Iberostar Trinidad had a wooden base and not a divan. This is a serious oversight, especially for people who are over say 15stone. The mattress seriously dipped towards the middle. The fridge did not work properly and it was difficult to fix it. The air conditioning was good. The staff need to learn English, English as some of the American phrases they use are not polite with English visitors. The bidet did not work properly and could not be mended. We wanted to use the bidet to wash our clothes and our feet. It is difficult to get a plumber on a Sunday in Cuba! I understand perfectly all the pros and cons of life in Cuba as I have been before and used to work for the Cubans in London. I speak absolutely fluent Spanish. It was a lovely room and bathroom but for the very high price, the facilities were not up to scratch. I believe a pool will arrive next year at Iberostar Trinidad - we needed one during our holiday and had to pay more money to go to the beach hotels for the day. A good hairdresser is sadly lacking near or in the hotel. This is a must for a hotel of this calibre. We enjoyed our holiday because we have a sense of humour - but things need to be improved to be value for money."

"The Trinidad hotel is the best service I have ever seen i a hotel. The hotel is small and nice and beautiful, would come back anytime and stay here. all staff was so friendly and helpful. I would say the best hotel we stayed at in Cuba. We also stayed at your hotel in Havana...Rooms were a bit dated and service was not great. It seemed like the aircon was not working in the room it was so hot! and for the price of this hotel I would not come back..The rooftop pool and view is amazing, but most staff was not very frindly I thought this hotel would have been better.... I would suggest you improve the havana hotel to the standart of the trinidad hotel."

Will not be returning to this hotel

"Laguna Azul was an experience that we would not wish to repeat. The location is perfect, the beach is lovely and grounds are well kept but the accomodation is appalling. The maintenance and servicing of the rooms falls well below the standard expected for any hotel. A full review is already posted on Trip Advisor. under title "Does not deserve its 5 stars""
